  • Janet Brown Janet Brown Director, Sustainable Operations

    Focus Areas: Facility Membership, Regional Training and Presenting, Technical Assistance

    As Director of Sustainable Operations, Janet Brown acts as a conduit among the membership, making connections, sharing successes and working to create an community of sharing, where members are both teachers and students. She supports hospitals through technical assistance, information-sharing, data collection, goal setting and program development. In 2011 she became contributing editor to Health Care Design Magazine's Green Column and served on the Green Guide for health Care Pilot Operations Team. Janet has served on the Cleanmed Planning committee since its inception. She began her career in health care sustainability in 1991, when she convinced Beth Israel Medical Center in New York to create the position of a waste manager. Janet lives in Amherst, MA, with her husband and two children. She enjoys gardening and coaching her daughter's soccer team.

  • Stan Cahill Stan Cahill Senior Director of Membership Development

    Stan Cahill is the senior director of membership development for Practice Greenhealth, America’s leading membership and networking association of healthcare organizations making a commitment to sustainable, eco-friendly initiatives. Practice Greenhealth is one of the fastest growing membership organizations of its kind with more than 1,000 hospitals, health systems, businesses and other stakeholders joining in its first three years. Stan also works with organizations seeking to use the Greenhealth Tracker (waste data management) tool, and hosts informational webinars every month, “Ten Reasons to Join Practice Greenhealth” and “Introduction to Greenhealth Tracker” each one on alternating months. Previously, Stan worked for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) for more than twenty years as senior director of business development in educational new media.

  • Andrea DeDominicis Andrea DeDominicis Member Engagement and Education Coordinator

    Focus Areas: Member Relations, Webinar Coordination

    Andrea DeDominicis is the Member Engagement and Education Coordinator for Practice Greenhealth. In her capacity as the ME&E Coordinator she responds to the immediate needs of members while coordinating membership benefits and activities including technical support and the coordination of educational webinars. Andrea joined the Practice Greenhealth team in November of 2008 after a long career as a graphic designer and advertising account executive. She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA, and when time permits, exhibits her paintings of impressionistic landscape and still life designs.

  • Cecilia DeLoach Lynn, MBA, LEED AP Cecilia DeLoach Lynn, MBA, LEED AP Director of Sustainability Programs & Metrics

    Focus Areas: Sustainability Strategy and Planning, Program Development, Performance Measure and Benchmarking, Education, Training and Content Development

    Cecilia’s role at Practice Greenhealth is to assist the organization in developing programmatic content, tools and resources, developing strategy for new sustainability initiatives and  determining an industry-wide set of appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to monitor the success of healthcare sustainability programs. Cecilia provides sustainability content expertise and leadership to Greenhealth Academy’s workshops, trainings, webinars and e-learning offerings as well as the Greening the ORTM Initiative. She is also an accomplished public speaker and trainer, and builds support and awareness for Practice Greenhealth through targeted speaking engagements, stakeholder engagement and outreach. Cecilia brings more than 14 years of experience working with hospitals and healthcare organizations to create customized sustainability programs and goals, and is working with the Practice Greenhealth team to evolve the next set of sustainability performance resources, metrics and tools. She has an MBA with a focus in corporate social responsibility and healthcare administration, is a LEED-accredited professional, and was instrumental in helping update the Green Guide for Healthcare’s Operations Credits in 2008.

    As a colleague of the education team, John is responsible for sustainability training for professional advancement and sustainable business integration for hospitals. John assists with the Greening the OR Initiative and is collaborating with nine urban hospitals to integrate a sustainable business strategy into their operations. Prior to joining Practice Greenhealth, John was the Sustainable Businesses Officer for Metro Health Hospital in Michigan - a 2009 inductee into Practice Greenhealth's Environmental Leadership Circle.

  • Beth Eckl Beth Eckl Director, Environmental Purchasing Program

    Focus Areas: Greening the Supply Chain with Group Purchasing Organizations and Health Care Facilities

    Beth Eckl is the Director of the Environmental Purchasing Program for Practice Greenhealth providing technical support, consulting services and training on environmental purchasing for health systems, healthcare facilities and group purchasing organizations. Beth oversees the development of technical, environmental criteria for dozens of medical and non-medical products used in hospitals. She is also responsible for the EPP Specifications Guide for Health Care, the first and only source for health care supply chain professionals. Beth brings more than 15 years of experience in waste management and environmental purchasing to guide members successfully through all the steps in developing and implementing environmental purchasing to fill a critical part of their journey to sustainable health care.

  • Lin Hill Lin Hill Director of Awards

    Focus Areas: Awards

    As Director of Awards, Lin is responsible for managing all aspects of the Awards program, from developing the Award applications, to reviewing the completed applications, to designing the Awards ceremony at CleanMed each year. Lin particularly enjoys supporting Practice Greenhealth members while they prepare their Award applications each year. With over 15 years of experience in pollution prevention, Lin has worked both inside and outside of the regulatory arena. She lives in northern NH with her husband, son, daughter and her cat, and revels in the many month of skiing available there.

  • Bob Jarboe Bob Jarboe Executive Vice President, Business Development

    Focus Areas: Business Membership, Greening the OR

    Bob Jarboe is currently the Executive Vice President for Business Development for Practice Greenhealth.  Bob works primarily with Business Members of Practice Greenhealth in the member recruitment area as well in the establishment of special projects, initiatives and programs relevant to both the hospital and business members of the organizations.  Bob has also spent the past four decades in leadership positions in non Profit organizations including local, regional and national associations as both Board Member and staff.  Bob's work over the years has put him in close proximity to government and business representatives and he has served in public office.

    Sherry MacDonald leads the marketing communications efforts for Practice Greenhealth, achieving results by  building strong campaigns through smart, strategic, and creative thinking. Sherry strives to assess the needs of Practice Greenhealth’s members, and implements many types of communications programs to bring them essential programs, beginning with strategic planning and research, and including advertising, direct marketing, interactive, and public relations campaigns, as well as event promotion.  Sherry brings significant nonprofit marketing communications experience to Practice Greenhealth with a focus on ensuring member satisfaction.

  • Anna Prow Anna Prow Chief Operating Officer

    Focus Areas: Organization Development, Knowledge Management, Systems Design and Implementation, Organizational Policy

    Anna Prow brings nearly ten years of operations management experience to Practice Greenhealth, where she is dedicated to leadership across the financial, operational, and organizational planning functions of both PGH and her sister organization, Health Care Without Harm. Her priorities include contributing to the strategic direction of the organizations, maximizing support of program delivery, increasing organizational efficiencies, developing and deploying effective sustainable business practices, and continuing to define the synergies and distinctions between both Practice Greenhealth and Health Care Without Harm. Anna gained insight into organizational policy and practice with an MS in Urban Policy Analysis from The New School. Her commitment to sustainable growth and change comes in part from service as a Peace Corps Volunteer and a career chapter working at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, DC. Her commitment to organizational learning comes in part from a background in education and training, including six years as a public school educator early in her career.

  • Kaeleigh Sheehan Kaeleigh Sheehan Greening the OR Coordinator

    Kaeleigh is the Coordinator of the Greening the OR initiative. She oversees the education, training, communications, public relations, tools, resources and engagements relative to Greening the OR efforts. Kaeleigh works to assist, enhance and establish sustainable best practices within the OR suite, as well as oversees the Council for Environmentally Responsible Surgery.

  • Lara Sutherland Lara Sutherland Director of Business Membership

    Lara Sutherland is the go-to person for Practice Greenhealth's Business Members. She provides Practice Greenhealth's Business Members with the tools, resources, and data they need to better reach and better serve their environmentally-minded health care customers, and is constantly striving to improve membership value for Practice Greenhealth's Business Members. Previously, she ran the Environmental Purchasing Program at Practice Greenhealth. Her prior experience also includes working in the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as a cell biology research assistant at Harvard University Medical School, and as an analytical chemist at the Massachusetts Pesticide Analysis Laboratory. She earned her bachelors degree in biochemistry from Amherst College.

    Laura Wenger, R.N., as executive director, oversees staff operations and program delivery for Practice Greenhealth. She brings more than 17 years of experience in nursing, consulting and professional education development in health care. In her role as executive director, Wenger effectively addresses the needs of Practice Greenhealth members and staff by fostering working partnerships among board, staff and the health care community.

    As a registered nurse, she understands the link between the health of the environment and the health of people and communities, and brings this knowledge to the programs and activities of Practice Greenhealth to make the health care sector a place of health promotion and disease prevention, and not just a place for healing. Working with staff and stakeholders, Laura assures that high-quality, cutting-edge programs are delivered to Practice Greenhealth members to meet their goals and serve as role models around sustainability in their communities.
